Terri M.
recently wrote us about her Golden Retriever named Dakota that she adopted in 2006. He had been abandoned by his pre-vious owners because he suffered from  seizures and allergies.

After seeing several veterinarians and adding Potassium Bromide to the Phenobarbital he was already taking (and then Sodium Bromide in its place when he could no longer tolerate the Potassium Bromide) his seizures seemed to be under control.

Then just as quickly as he stopped seizing he became so listless that he began urinating where he slept and was too weak to walk.

Terri took Dakota to see a neurologist who then recommended
seeing a holistic vet, since he had heard of some success of seizing patients with metal ball injections, homeopathic therapies, acupuncture, etc.

She took him to see a doctor who performed acupuncture on him, prescribed specific herbs and vitamins and changed his diet to a potato and duck
combination. It was remarkable  how Dakota began coming back to life!

With his new diet and acupuncture treatments every six months, the Sodium Bromide was decreased as his stability increased.

Today Dakota is a happy 4 year old who loves to go on long walks and is nearly symptom free!

Hawk Rescued by Hopkinton, MA Police
and Fire is Healed with Homeopathy, Reiki and Ozone Therapy

On January 27, 2010, the Hopkinton Fire and Police Departments found a red tail hawk which had been hit in the head, lying on the hardtop of the road. They were able to safely stop and pick up the severely injured bird and brought it to MASH - Main Street Animal Services of Hopkinton.

The young red tail hawk had been in a dive to catch prey and hit the bumper of a car with a hard impact. In shock, with severe head trauma which included head swelling, eyes swollen shut and head rocking, the bird was falling over.

Homeopathic, integrative care was immed-iately started.
Reiki was also performed. Continued care included oral ozonated water and ozonated saline flushes to the eyes.

Within 24 hours, the hawk was able to be hand fed and the swelling of his left eye was down by 90%. He exhibited only mild rocking of his head. The right eye still was quite swollen and continuation of ozonated saline flushes and homeopathic Ledum 200C was added for the traumatic impact to the eye. Euphrasia 200C was used as oral and eye wash for
conjunctival injury. Homeopathy is excellent for head injury and ozone therapy allows oxygen to pass into the blood brain barrier and brings down swelling.

The hawk has been named Haiti and he continues to get stronger with each day.

Tricia J. wrote us about her Chocolate Lab, Merlot, who recently turned 11 years old. Not too long ago, Merlot had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease which was treated successfully with antibiotics. Due to her age and health, arthritis set in, so Tricia took Merlot to see a doctor who performed acupuncture. The acupuncture eased her symptoms tremendously. Previous to this, Merlot, had her ACL operated on and spent six weeks in physical therapy on an under-water treadmill twice a week. Physical therapy on animals yields the same positive results as it does on people!
